Participation in Listening Session on the Digital Divide with Vice President Kamala Harris.

May 24, 2021 — The Office of the Vice President invited me to participate as a panelist in a Listening Session on the Digital Divide hosted by Vice President Kamala Harris. The participants of the panel were from different industry sectors, and I discussed the digital divide from the perspective of medicine.

During my turn, I explained how limited access to broadband internet in rural and remote areas is a barrier to adequate access to health care services, and a barrier to the implementation of telemedicine services.

This was an amazing opportunity to share my expertise with the community, and to meet the Vice President. Check out the video!

As always, feel free to contact me if you have any comments or questions.
